When done properly, each act builds cacophonously upon the last creating the appearance of absolute pandemonium. In order to capture every gag in the script, the director and I had to fully storyboard and choreograph each movement before any design were completed. Once the storyboard was complete, I then had to translate the storyboard into a set design that communicated the feel and time of the play, while allowing for the proper timing and visual relationships of the sequence of gags.
