Gianni Schicci UMKC Conservatory of Music This production was a wild interpretation of Puccini's Gianni Schicci. We decided to place the show in an environment that emphasized the grotesqueries of the Donatti family. We chose to further express the caricature of each character by costuming each one in a different time period. This also served to emphasize the universality of the themes in this piece.
