Anything Goes Director: Hans Friedrichs Anything Goes takes place on the afterdeck of the "SS American," a fictiional luxury cruise liner headed for Europe. Much of the inspiration for the set was taken from the Queen Mary, including a four panel mural that created the backdrop for the opening scene and served as an act curtain.
